Try fishing in the winter

The pure white and quiet Lake Oulujärvi in the winter is an experience not to be missed!

Travel on the vast ice cover of Lake Oulujärvi in a snowmobile-driven sleigh.

Explore the secrets of winter fishing by checking the nets and try your luck at ice fishing. The perch in Lake Oulujärvi tend to lurk in the sandy banks.

In addition to the fishing, enjoy the open white lakescape, the rustle of the wind and the fresh air.

We will stop for a picnic in a hut heated by a campfire on the beautiful Ärjä Island.

You can arrive by car or we can pick you up in our minibus to take you to the starting point of our fishing trip in Vuoreslahti, Kajaani.

3 h / winter / time agreed / minimum number of participants is two

EUR 109 / adult and EUR 69 / child (under 15 years old)

Winter equipment (overalls, boots, gloves and headdress) EUR 20 / person.

Additional fee for a private fishing trip EUR 200. Extra hours EUR 59. A ‘fishing dog’ is also available, EUR 0.

Transport by car from Kajaani town centre EUR 50 and from Jättiläisenmaa, Vuokatti, EUR 100/2-9 persons.

Includes guided tour, snowmobile sleigh ride, fishing equipment, permits, campfire snacks and drinks.

Please dress for the weather. Partly suitable for people with limited mobility.
